Frogs and toads are well known for their lively songs during the spring season. Their vocalizations can be heard throughout Southeastern Virginia, signaling the return of warmer weather and the beginning of their active period. Join us for an engaging presentation designed to highlight our region’s native frogs and toads. This session will delve into the unique characteristics of these fascinating amphibians, providing a closer look at their behaviors and adaptations. After the main presentation, participants will have the opportunity to take a short walk to a nearby pond. There, we will listen for frog and toad calls and observe any activity in a natural setting, enhancing our appreciation and understanding of these remarkable animals.
